Ministers of the Word proclaim the word of the Lord to the congregation, drawing the assembly more deeply into the mystery being celebrated. They prepare the readings in advance. They approach the ambo with dignity and reverence, and proclaim the readings in a strong, clear voice.

Altar servers assist the priest during Mass. This assistance comes in the form of being candle bearers, book servers, and the assistants of the priest at the altar.

Extraordinary Ministers assist the priest by distributing Holy Communion during Mass. All Extraordinary Ministers must complete a one-time required Diocesan training.

Hospitality Ministers (Ushers) greet parishioners and guests. They are a vital part in making them feeling welcome in our community. Ushers also take up the offertory and assist parishioners during the communion procession. Guidelines for hospitality ministers can be found here.
